Local Army porter slips at Dogra point, dies | KNO

Kupwara, July 04 (KNO) : An Army porter died on Thursday after he slipped down at Dogra point in Karnah sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. A police officer told KNO that they received a communication from Army’s 7 RR unit’s top official, stating that a porter has slipped down while he was transporting some material from Rangi post to Sogra. The porter had received grievous wounds following which he was evacuated to RMO who declared him dead on arrival.  He said that body of the deceased was brought to Hospital for post-mortem, subsequently a case under 174 CrPc has been registered in this regard and probe has been initiated. The official identified the slain porter as Ghulam Din, 45, son of Shah Mohammed of Draggad.(KNO)
